We asked the cannabis industry to help us celebrate women’s achievements for International Women’s Day. Here’s the list. (Did we miss someone? Submit them for celebration here. )
Alannah Davis - Alannah DOES. NOT. STOP. - she got Health Canada approval for her outdoor cannabis facility while working a full time job elsewhere, harvested Dabble Cannabis' first crop, processed most of that crop into hash rosin, renovated a home, and JUST TURNED 30. All in the span of just over a year!
Amiga Wheatle - Amiga is a cannabis sommelier in training who in the height of the pandemic opened 6 of Spade- one of few black owned, led and family operated licensed retail shoppes in Canada. She uses her skills and experience to support new and emerging BIPOC retailers in the space and is a guest speaker at Lift and Co's Cannabis Convention May 2022.
Amy Weinstein - Legacy cannabis mogul, started a women owned and led boutique sales agency (Other People's Pot).
Abi Roach - She has been in cannabis forever and was owner of the Iconic Hotbox in Kensington Market. Now she works at the OCS.
Aikta Chugh - Helping build an incredible organic cannabis brand and bring it to life in the market (Simply Bare).
Alena Jenkins - Alena is a strong and independent female entrepreneur who opened her own legal cannabis store early in the game and has cultivated it to being a must-see, must-shop location in Calgary (FivePoint Cannabis).
Alison McMahon - Founder & CEO of Cannabis At Work, and she founded the cannabis compensation survey. She is also a co-founder of The Roll Call.
Andrea Armstrong - Recruitment guru at Valens - always has a smile on her face and never misses a beat.
Andrea Dobbs - Co-Founder of the Village Bloomery.
Angela Duke - She has broken many barriers, touched and enriched the lives of many consumers/patients/coworkers in the retail space providing top tier customer service and support with her breath of knowledge and positive attitude.

Ashley Chiu - Respected consultant with EY and has made a significant contribution to the C-45 Association through her board work.
Ashleigh Brown - Ashleigh works tirelessly to advocate for those without a voice, providing unparalleled knowledge combined with her advocacy. The cannabis industry is a better place with her in it (SheCann).
Arundati Dandapani - Arundati has a positive impact and has published widely about the research and strides of cannabis insights in Canada and beyond. She created, launched and facilitates the Canadian Research Insights Council Cannabis Insights Committee.
Audrey Wong - CEO of Zyre Vapes / Executive Director of Elimin8Hate. Formerly a lawyer, VP Aurora Cannabis and C-Suite BCLDB (parent of BC Cannabis Stores).
Barinder Rasode - The first South Asian woman elected to Surrey City Council. Founded Niche Canada and Grow Tech Labs.
Blaine Pearson - Co-founder of the Business of Cannabis, which was acquired by Prohibition Partners. They facilitate and share important cannabis conversations and content internationally.
Breanne Duffy - Breanne is one of the most longstanding employees at any LP - she has been with Entourage (WeedMD) for over 5 years! She's seen it all.
Brianna Martyn - Congratulations to Brianna on breaking the gender barriers through her Investor Relations platform, continuing to remain authentic, and stand up for those that need it.

Carla Mitchell - Carla is an early employee of Token Naturals and is always a pleasure to connect with.
Carole Chan - CCO of Vivo and is one of the most dynamic, energizing and creative problem solvers in the sector!
Carmen Plesch - An outstanding IT leader working at Valens that has been with the company through its growth and now oversees a team of 10 people.
Caryma Sa'd - Thoughtful Cannabis lawyer and Executive Director of NORML Canada - does excellent work to support the sector.
Charlotte Bowyer - Charlotte is an incredible link between Canadian Cannabis and European Cannabis.
Cheri Mara - Helped grow the OCS as their CCO post legalization, creating a lasting impact on the sector and is now pursuing her own Micro licence in Creemore and supporting the growth of other LPs.
Christina Michael - She is awesome because she has so much energy and enthusiasm for cannabis and cannabis people! An entrepreneur with a great retail store called Marigolds. Christina needs to be acknowledged for founding Cannabis For Harm Reduction (CFHR) non-profit organization.
Christine Williams - Stepped into cannabis from cosmetics and now is the highly respected Director of Field Sales for Organigram.
Courtney Poulin - Super friendly and skilled HR leader that scaled 7Acres from construction to their exit to Canopy.
Cristina Montoya - Cristina is a Registered Dietician in Ontario and a patient advocate for cannabis medicine. She is a certified cannabis educator who pairs nutrition and cannabis education. She is a Co-Founder of EduCanNation NPO and her business is called The Arthritis Dietician.
Dana Baranovsky - Worked at Green Releaf for many years, now a regulatory expert at CannDelta.
Daina McCloskey - HR Director at Valens and helped the organization through its growth phase.

Donna Johannson - Canadian Women in Cannabis (CWIC) represents women in the cannabis industry and does the VERY difficult task of advocating. Donna has always been passionate about equal opportunity for women and continues to be a voice for all groups who need to be heard in the space. Ivy Astrix - Ivy has been a leader in cannabis regulatory space and volunteers her time with MAPS in the emerging psychedelics industry.

Jennifer Caldwell - Jenn has worked tirelessly behind the scenes helping dozens of cannabis and hemp business get licenses, become profitable and sustainable and succeed. She seeks no recognition and is an unsung hero in our space that is often overlooked.

Terra led cannabis promotion to a new level of sophistication and efficiency, by building a successful craft cannabis brand (Flint & Embers, MJardin Group) and partnering with a legendary cannabis brand, Bullrider (a cannabis collaboration featuring Drake and OVO).
Trang Trinh - Trang's entrepreneurial spirit is admirable. Everything that she has done with Trec Brands and the diversity of their offerings is super commendable.
